Room 16 is a composite class made up of 25 Year 6 students. In class we are also fortunate to have three Faction Captains.Taylor Carter,Sam Ritchie and Connor Stevens.We have four Student Councillors,Eve Brown,Zoe Richards,Alistar Thompson and Taylor Carter.

Two students also enjoy the opportunity to participate in a specialist music program. Ebony and Taylor.

Eve and Stella participate in the P.E.A.C program which is run off site in conjunction with other schools from the local area. 

Byrce,Dahlia,Zemiliya,Natasha and Elsie also participate in Kaarak once a week with Nadine who is our resident Aboriginal Education Assisant. 

The students have the privilege of large windows off the banked grass area surrounded by peppermint trees and glimpses of  Geographe Bay.

There is a strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy and opportunity for students to work at their level with access to in class grouping.

With the acquisition of iPads a particular focus of Room 16 is using the S.A.M.L model of learning.

Substitution- Technology acts as a direct tool substitute, with no functional change.

Augmentation-Technology acts as a direct tool substitute, with functional improvement.

Modification-Technology allows for significant task redesign.

Redefinition-Technology allows for the creation of new tasks, previously inconceivable.

This model gives the students the opportunity to be an active participant in their learning journey.
