Interschool Carnival

In week 9, the year six students in Rooms 15 & 16 competed against other southwest schools at the summer interschool carnival. The students had a great day participating in social tennis games. Two of our students even took out the 'King of the Mountain' title! Well done boys!

Exploring 3D Shapes

In week 7, we developed our knowledge of 3D shapes by constructing prisms and pyramids using marshmallows and toothpicks. This can't possibly be maths!?

Let's Rock!

Big Bang Technology

Old Courthouse

We had an interesting walk in to Busselton to visit the Old Courthouse where we had a guided tour and viewed a photo display of Gallipoli.
BIG BANG CHALLENGE: Using three pieces of A4 paper, a pizza box, a golf ball, a drawing pin, twenty pop-sticks, blue tack, 1m of masking tape and a balloon, students created an apparatus for a golf ball to burst a balloon from a distance of 50cm. Connor successfully demonstrated his design to burst the balloon...WINNER!

Storm Boy-MR Percival comes to visit. After an extensive literacy block study of Colin Theile's classic 'Storm Boy' students experienced close contact with a Pelican at the mouth of the diversion brain on Geographe bay.

Egg Shelter Challenge

  EGG SHELTER CHALLENGE 'SAVE THE EGG' Students were set a group challenge to build a shelter using newpaper and masking tape to protect an egg from falling debris duing a wild volcanic eruption.
