Cross Country 2017!

Well done to everyone from Year 3 to 6 who competed in this year's Cross Country event. NAIDOC Activities

Easter Raffle

ANZAC Service

WBPS Dress Up Day

Selamat Datang Ibu Liza

Welcome to Ibu Liza Apriana who is an Indonesian Language Assistant who will be working at West Busselton for Term 4. Ibu Liza is from kalimantan in Indonesia and will be working in Room 14 with Ibu Colquhoun teaching students about the culture from her province and also help with speaking in Indonesian. We are really happy to have Ibu Liza here.

Pirates of the Curry Bean

Don't miss out on getting your tickets for the annual drama production, Pirates of the Curry Bean. Tickets are on sale in the Drama Room before school or from the front office during the day. Asia Day Celebrations

Crazy Hair Day

This year was the best variety of hair styles for Crazy Hair Day. Some students got really creative and everyone enjoyed the parade just before recess, last Friday. It was difficult to chose a winner for each class. Thank you to the student councillors for organising the day which raised more than $300 for our Indonesian sponsored child.
There was great excitement in the school today as the students were able to use our brand new toilets for the first time. Never has there been so much handwashing with soap and vigorous drying of hands with the hand dryers!  Time has been spent checking out the pictures on the funky wall tiles and the boys have had fun looking at themselves in the round mirrors.  Everyone agrees they have been worth the wait…
On Wednesday 11th May, ten selected students from Year Six visited the ABC SouthWest studio in Bunbury.  Here they recorded the names of ten soldiers who lost their lives in the First World War.  These recordings will be added to the other 62 000 and they will be played inside the Australian War Memorial in Canberra in commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of this war. Triathlon Success

We were lucky to have great weather for our annual triathlon held on the last day of Term 1. After a busy week of preparations, organising teams, daily bike checks and competitors getting marked with their numbers, the excitement level was high. ANZAC Ceremony 2016

On the last day of Term 1, Room 16 hosted the annual ANZAC Ceremony for the whole school. Thank you to Mr Glenn Woodward from Busselton RSL who addressed the school and also Caaleb Peters from Busselton SHS who played the bugle for the last post. Easter Raffle

There was great excitement with the Easter Raffle on Thursday 24th March. With 56 prizes to be drawn, there were lots of happy winners. It was a successful fund raiser for the Drama Production with over 800 tickets sold. Fringe Festival Competition

Selected students from Year 5 and Year 6 have been busy preparing to compete in this year's Fringe Festival. Beach Carnival

The weather was perfect last Wednesday for the Annual Beach Carnival. Students participated in beach activities for Junior, Middle and Upper Carnivals.
