NAIDOC Activities

On Wednesday 16th August all classes participated in a variety of activities to learn about, recognise and celebrate local Indigenous culture and people.  Our students were in mixed groups and had the opportunity to join in activities such as art, cooking, researching personaliities on the internet and boomerang throwing which were led by teachers and Aboriginal students from Busselton Senior High School.  Our AIEO Nadine coordinated the day and provided our students with a "tasting" of bush tucker including kangaroo and a variety of berries.  These were enthusiatically eaten by all! Staff were  provided with an emu, crocodile and kangaroo sausage sizzle.

Students  greatly enjoyed the day learning about Aboriginal Australia.
