OUR SCHOOL - Carnivals & Events
West Busselton Primary School is a Health Promoting school and as such a strong emphasis is placed on physical activity. The school holds various sporting events throughout the year and all students are encouraged to participate and have fun. Parents are encouraged to attend these events and cheer on the teams.
- Term 1: Beach Carnival
- Term 1: School Triathlon (years 4-6)
- Term 3: Cross-Country Race (years 3-6). The fastest 4-5 finishers from each year level are invited to represent the school at the Inter-school Cross Country event.
- Term 3: Athletics Carnival (includes pre-carnival events)
The Inter-school Summer Sporting Carnival for Year 5 & 6 students is usually held towards the end of Term 1. Students compete in basketball, cricket, t-ball, tennis and volleyball. A Winter Sporting Carnival is also held towards the end of Term 2 with students competing in AFL, netball, soccer and hockey.
